RAILTOUR TRAIN

The Scottish Railway Preservation Society maintains a set of former BR Mk1 coaches registered for use on main-line railtours. The stock is based on the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway at Bo'ness, West Lothian.
These coaches are painted in maroon livery and are dual-braked, suitable for haulage by steam, diesel or electric locomotives. The following table details the types of coaches in the SRPS Railtour set :

This provides a total of 470 seats for 260 Standard Class passengers and 210 First Class passengers.

Catering services provided by SRPS volunteers serve light refreshments, cold drinks, teas & coffees from both buffet counters. Full meals or hot snacks can be prepared in the kitchen in the Restaurant-Buffet coach. On most SRPS Railtours volunteers serve pre-booked meals to passengers at their seats.
