3 May : FORT WILLIAM & MALLAIG

From GLENROTHES with Thornton, Kirkcaldy, Dalgety Bay, Dalmeny, Linlithgow, Falkirk High, Westerton
From the scenic West Highland Line view Loch Long, Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Monessie Gorge, Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan and Morar.

17 May : KEIGHLEY (for Worth Valley), LEEDS & YORK

From AYR, Prestwick Town, Troon, Kilmarnock, Auchinleck, Sanquhar, Dumfries, Annan, Gretna Green, Carlisle
Over the Pennines on the scenic Settle & Carlisle line to Keighley (for the Worth Valley Railway), Leeds or the historic city of York.

31 May : CREWE & SHREWSBURY

From LINLITHGOW, Edinburgh Waverley, Drem, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnmouth*, Morpeth*, Newcastle-upon-Tyne*
To Crewe for the opportunity to visit Crewe Works Open Day or stay on the train to Shrewsbury, Shropshire's attractive county town on the River Severn.

14 June : PLOCKTON & KYLE of LOCHALSH

From DUNBAR, Drem, Longniddry, Edinburgh Waverley, Dalmeny, Dalgety Bay, Kirkcaldy, Markinch, Ladybank, Perth
The Highland Line via Pitlochry, Drumochter, Aviemore and Culloden to Inverness, then via Dingwall, Garve and the spectacular scenery along Loch Carron to Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh.

21 June : LIVERPOOL

From KIRKCALDY, Inverkeithing, Edinburgh Waverley
Along the West Coast Main Line over Beattock and Shap summits to the birthplace of The Beatles, Liverpool, with its museums, galleries and the ferry across the Mersey.

4/5 July : WICK & THURSO

From EDINBURGH Waverley, Linlithgow, Falkirk Grahamston, Larbert, Stirling, Perth
Overnight along the Highland Line to Inverness for an early morning run on the Far North Line to Wick and then to Thurso, Britain's most northerly station. Optional coach trip to John o' Groats available.

6 September : OBAN

From CARLISLE, Gretna Green, Annan, Dumfries, Sanquhar, Auchinleck, Kilmarnock, Stewarton, Glasgow Central Low Level
Take the scenic West Highland Line by Loch Lomond, Loch Awe, Ben Cruachan and the Pass of Brander to Oban with its views of Mull across the Firth of Lorn.

19/20/21 September : PAR for the EDEN PROJECT

From ABERDEEN, Stonehaven, Montrose, Arbroath, Dundee, Cupar, Kirkcaldy, Inverkeithing, Edinburgh Waverley, Carlisle
Travel south on Friday and spend two nights in a hotel at Bristol. South of Crewe the outward journey is along the Welsh Marches via Shrewsbury, Hereford and the Severn Tunnel. On Saturday take the train on a spectacular trip along the Devon coast at Dawlish and over the Royal Albert Bridge into Cornwall for a visit to the Eden Project. The return from Bristol on Sunday is via Oxford, Warwick and Birmingham.

11 October : BUXTON

From EDINBURGH Waverley, Drem, Dunbar, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnmouth, Morpeth, Cramlington, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Durham
Along the East Coast Main Line to York then into the Peak District, via the Hope Valley line and Peak Forest, to the elegant spa town of Buxton. The return route is via Stockport, Stalybridge and through Standedge Tunnel.

Friday 5 December : LINCOLN (for Christmas Market)

From LINLITHGOW, Edinburgh Waverley, Drem, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnmouth, Morpeth, Cramlington, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Durham
Along the East Coast Main Line through Durham and York to Doncaster then through Gainsborough to the historic city of Lincoln with its famous Christmas Market.
