SRPS Railtours 2024 Programme The SRPS Railtours coaches are cuurently undergoing a major overhaul. This is expected to take several months. SRPS Mainline Mk1 Set - Supporter Update April 2024 The SRPS mainline set has been inactive for 12 months whilst a major overhaul is undertaken. This has taken longer, and cost more, than anticipated for several reasons, including the need to keep vehicles operational to support an enhanced programme of events on the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway. The SRPS remain committed to mainline operations which provide a valuable income stream to support our charitable objectives. Several vehicles are now approaching completion at Bo’ness. To speed up the programme, several vehicles will shortly be leaving Bo’ness for completion works or repairs at third party contractors. We are committed to fitting central door locking (CDL) to our vehicles and this work will be carried out to ensure compliance with ORR Regulations. Whilst we will not advertise any excursions until we are confident that we have sufficient operational vehicles, at this point in time, we are hoping to resume operations during 2024.
