The Scottish Railway Preservation Society is dedicated to the advancement of
Scottish railway heritage. It has the largest collection of railway locomotives, carriages, wagons, equipment and artefacts outside the National Railway Museum.

The Scottish Railway Preservation Society is a Charitable Company limited by guarantee, and a Full Member of the Heritage Railway Association, the Association of Independent Museums, Museums Galleries Scotland, the Museums Association, the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions and Visit Scotland.
