This special train will travel over two of Britain's most scenic railway routes, the Highland Line from Perth to Inverness and the Kyle Line, one of the 'Great Railway Journeys of the World'.
The Kyle Line crosses from the East to the West Coast through magnificent scenery of moorland, mountains, rivers and lochs. The train passes Strathpeffer, Garve and Achnasheen before descending Glen Carron, then follows the shore of Loch Carron through Strome Ferry to Plockton.
You may choose either to visit the picturesque village of Plockton on the shores of Loch Carron which was the setting for the BBC TV series Hamish Macbeth. Alternatively stay on the train to Kyle of Lochalsh with its spectacular views of Skye.
The SRPS maroon carriages will be diesel-hauled throughout the journey.
These timings are approximate and should be used only as a guide.
