Special Day Rail Excursion to

Steam-hauled throughout by A4 Class 60009 Union of South Africa

Sunday 5th May 2019

This steam special starts from Linlithgow and crosses the Forth Bridge, follows the Fife coast to Kirkcaldy then through rural Fife to Newburgh and on to Perth. The line follows the Firth of Tay to Dundee and there are spectacular views along the east coast through Arbroath, Montrose and Stonehaven to Aberdeen.

A4 Class No. 60009 Union of South Africa will haul the train throughout. 60009 was bought by John Cameron in 1966 and after many years hauling main-line steam specials it is expected to be retired later this year.
