SRPS Railtours Forth Circle steam special on Forth Bridge
Travel on a steam train over the most famous railway bridge in the world and along the new Borders Railway.
These special steam excursions cross the World Heritage designated Forth Bridge to Fife and travel around the Fife Circle, calling at Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy, then along the north shore of the Firth of Forth through Kinghorn, Burntisland and Aberdour with magnificent views across the Forth to Edinburgh and the Lothians. After stopping at Dalgety Bay the journey continues south over the Bridge to Edinburgh then along the new Borders Railway to Galashiels and Tweedbank.
The train will be hauled by an LMS Black Five steam locomotive. The return will be diesel-hauled from Tweedbank to Newcraighall, where the train will be turned so that the rest of the return journey is steam-hauled through Edinburgh and Fife to Linlithgow.
